Inpatient Rehabilitation
Inpatient Rehabilitation Services is a self-contained,
ten bed unit at Danville Regional Medical Center. It provides
comprehensive rehabilitation for stroke patients, amputees,
and patients with orthopedic problems, neurological disorders
and head injuries. The Recovery Team includes rehab nurses,
physical therapist, occupational therapist, speech therapist,
recreation therapist, case manager, and dietitian. A board
certified physiatrist-a physician who specializes in physical
medicine directs the unit. Inpatient Rehabilitation feels
that family members are an integral part of the Recovery
Team and conducts weekly family rounds - to give family
members an opportunity to consult with the patient's entire
rehabilitation team. The team works together to create
individualized care plans to meet the patient's goals.
