DRHS provides a multitude of diagnostic procedures.
These include mammography, ultrasound, fine needle
aspiration (FNA), stereotactic biopsy, or needle-localization,
and diagnosis, and education for early detection
of breast cancer. By using x-rays and computer coordinates
to precisely pinpoint a tumor, the stereotactic
procedure saves a woman the expense, time and trauma
of traditional breast surgery.
