Since 1947, the blood needs of the Dan River Region have been and continue to be provided by the Danville Regional Blood Donor Center. It was established to ensure that a steady supply of blood was readily available to serve this community and save lives. Since our inception, the Blood Donor Center has developed a modern, mobile, computerized service to better serve our donors and patients.

The Blood Donor Center is registered with the Federal Food and Drug Administration and accredited by the American Association of Blood Banks and the College of American Pathologists.

A physician's order is required for autologous donors, directed donors, and all therapeutic procedures.
