• Keep bed rails in the position set by your nurse and call for assistance when you need help.
  
  
• Allow our staff to assist you in and out of the wheelchair.
  
  
• Promptly inform our staff if any equipment in your room is not working properly.
  
  
• Honor the hospital's policy regarding personal equipment. Because of electrical considerations, you must have permission from administration before bringing and using personal equipment.
  
  
• Danville Regional is a smoke free facility. Smoking is not permitted within the hospital and is allowed only in designated outdoor areas.
  
  
• Please notify staff if any suspicious persons are seen. All hospital employees have identification badges.

DRMC cannot be responsible for personal belongings of items such as money, jewelry, credit cards, or medicines. Please do not keep these items in your room. If it is not possible to send these items home, please have them locked up in the hospital safe. Please ask the nurse to call a security officer to help you.

In addition, DRMC cannot be responsible for the loss of glasses, contact lenses, hearing aids or dentures. Please keep such items in protective cases when they are not in use. The hospital will provide a denture cup - just ask the nurse.
