Endoscopy Services

Through endoscopy, we can diagnose and treat problems of the stomach, intestines, esophagus, respiratory system, and other organs such as the liver, pancreas and gall bladder. For this procedure, physicians use an endoscope — a thin, flexible tube with a tiny video camera on the end.

DRMC can perform a variety of endoscopic procedures, including:

• Sigmoidoscopy (colon)
• Colonoscopy (colon)
• Upper GI (gastrointestinal)
• Bronchoscopy (windpipe and bronchial tubes)
• ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography)
• Manometry
• 24-hour Ph monitoring
• Hydrogen Breath Test

Within a special unit of the hospital, our staff provides personalized care to patients. During endoscopic procedures — many of which involve sedation — an RN is present at all times to monitor patients and ensure their comfort.
