"One of the reasons the Heartburn Center is now available is because of Danville Regional's new BRAVO system for heartburn diagnosis," said Debra Waters, RN, Endoscopy Manager. "This technology gives us the ability to precisely diagnose gastroesophageal reflux disease in a way the ensures the patient's comfort and confidentiality. Now patients can follow their normal routines, and we can get a more accurate diagnosis."

Kathy Dalton, Director, Surgical Services, says that the nurse coordinator will also follow up with patients to make sure that they are experiencing positive results. "The Heartburn Center is all about giving people relief," she said, "Relief from long waits to get an appointment, relief from uncomfortable diagnostic tests, and most of all, relief from the pain of heartburn."
