from Better Health magazine, Spring,

Women
who have regular, professional prenatal care have a
much greater likelihood of having healthier babies.
Women
in Pittsylvania County now have access to outstanding
obstetrical care through
our new OB satellite clinic, located at our Family Health
Care Center in Gretna.
"Our new clinic started seeing patients on April
7, and will be staffed by a certified nurse midwife,"
said Tamara Hunt, COO, Ambulatory Services of Danville.
We
provide routine prenatal visits and care here, which
is s so convenient for our patients," said Robin
Dillard, Certified Nurse Midwife, Nurse Practitioner.
"When there is a need for more advanced procedures,
such as ultrasound, patients can receive services at
Danville Regional, which also has a state-of-the-art
Women and Children's Center with comfortable and spacious
labor/delivery/recovery rooms."
Dillard
says that the community has welcomed her as a certified
nurse midwife. "My training as a nurse mid-wife
and a nurse practitioner is a great combination in meeting
the obstetrical healthcare needs of women. I'm really
enjoying the opportunity to serve the community."
