The Heart Center of the Piedmont: Not Just in Danville
Anymore
from Better Health magazine, Winter, 2004
Among
the many benefits the Heart Center of the Piedmont has
brought to the Dan River Region is the convenience of
having
outstanding cardiac care close to home.
We’re pleased to extend that benefit to our neighbors
in surrounding communities, thanks
to our new network of Heart Center satellite offices.
When complete, satellite offices will be open in Martinsville,
South Boston, and Gretna, Virginia and in Yanceyville,
North Carolina. Arranging an appointment with a Heart
Center cardiologist is now as simple as making a phone
call.
You won’t just be seeing a physician, you’ll
have a local entry point into the comprehensive services
offered by the Heart Center of the Piedmont which is
approximately 30 minutes from any of the four satellite
offices. What looks like a single office is actually
a network of care ranging from simple examinations to
openheart surgery. And this network, through its affiliation
with Duke University Health System, ensures that the
residents of the Dan River Region have access to the
most sophisticated cardiac care available.
Three cardiologists practicing at Danville Regional
Medical Center (see profiles, above) will rotate to
these four offices. They’ll perform an initial
examination and some simple testing to determine if
further treatment is warranted.
Unless your insurance company requires it, no physician
referral is required before making an appointment at
one of these satellite offices. Never before has such
a high level of care been so easily accessible.
Or so convenient. Whether you live north, south, east,
or west of Danville — or in the city itself —
your heart is in the right place. At the Heart Center
of the Piedmont at Danville Regional Medical Center.
And at its four new satellite offices.
Watch your mailboxes for more information about the
Heart Center location coming to your neighborhood.
