DRMC is First to Win Special Medical Society of Virginia Award
from Better Health magazine, Summer,
2004
With
the ever-changing nature of healthcare and technology,
it's crucial that those who provide care stay up to
date. That's the goal of our Continuing Medical Education
program.
Through our CME program, we're making great strides
in providing our clinicians and providers with the latest
and most up-to-date information, in an effort to positively
affect practices and outcomes. The Medical Society of
Virginia has made this an area of emphasis, and at a
recent meeting recognized DRMC's accomplishments with
an award.
Michael A. Moore, MD, Director of Medical Education,
received the award on behalf of the medical staff and
the hospital. "We were honored to be recognized
as the first accredited program to provide enhanced
competency continuing medical education programs in
Virginia," he said. "It's another way our
patients can be assured that the quality of care they
receive at Danville Regional continues to get better
and better.
