Heart Center of the Piedmont Opens New Satellite
Offices
from Better Health magazine, Fall, 2004

Statistically, the Dan River Region has one of the
highest rates of heart disease in Virginia and North
Carolina. Last year, Danville Regional took a major
step to improve conditions by opening the Heart Center
of the Piedmont at Danville Regional. Now, we've entered
the next phase by extending the services of the Heart
Center into surrounding communities.
"In September, we opened our third local satellite
office of the Heart Center," said Terri Motley,
RN, BSN, satellite operations manager. "
Our new office in Yanceyville at Caswell Family Medical
Center has been very well received by the people of
Caswell County and joins locations in South Boston and
Gretna."
"It's rewarding for us to see more people making
appointments at all of our satellite office locations,
especially since most of the growth has been created
by word of mouth," Motley said. "People are
receiving quality care from our visiting cardiologists,
and they're telling others about it."
"We've always seen the Heart Center of the Piedmont
as a service not just for Danville, but for all the
people of the Dan River Region," said Brad Sexauer,
Vice President of Planning and Marketing. "And
early next year we expect to open our Martinsville office.
These satellite locations are a clear expression of
our commitment to meeting the region's cardiac health
needs."
