(1) The Virginia Society for Healthcare Marketing and Public Relations awarded DRHS a 2002 Superior Award for Better Health. The Measure of Excellence Superior Award is based upon excellence in copywriting, design, and meeting healthcare education goals. This is highest award in the state of Virginia that hospitals can achieve.

(2) Danville Regional Health System's Better Health won a Summit Award for "Best Magazine" from the Blue Chapter of PRSA.

(3) Most recently, Danville Regional Health System won a Certificate of Merit (2nd place) in the Newsletter/Newsmagazine category sponsored by the Virginia Public Relations Conference for Better Health Magazine. This is significant in the respect that we were competing against all businesses with an external publication, not just other hospitals.

These have been awarded by judges from out-of-state who are recognizing the quality of our work here at DRHS. We are very excited by these honors, and plan to continue the high quality of Better Health Magazine in the future for the people in our area.
