Centers

have moved!

Major renovations are planned to improve services and update the Women's and Children's Center at Danville Regional Medical Center. Construction will begin by the summer of 2001, and the project is expected to continue over the next two years.

Women's and Children's CenterPlans include converting four labor rooms and two delivery rooms into seven LDR rooms, where the mother will experience labor, delivery and recovery all in the same room. After the baby is born, the mother will stay in one of 15 postpartum rooms, and the baby will stay in a brand new nursery. Women's & Children's CenterExisting medical/surgical rooms will be renovated and converted to a larger area for pediatric patients and a new obstetrics/gynecology area.

"We're all very excited about the renovations, because they will make a difference in the level of services we're able to provide to women and children," said Chris Hackler, Director of Women's and Children's Patient Care Services. "The facility will be bigger, more attractive and more comfortable for our patients."
