Caring for Kids in the Community
Health Express Van The Health Express Van is a community resource that makes it easier for children to get the healthcare they need. Funded through a partnership program between Danville Regional Health System, the Danville City Public Schools and the Danville/Pittsylvania County Health District, the Health Express Van provides free immunizations to children on Saturdays at the Community Market during the summer months. Because the fully-equipped vehicle is virtually a medical office on wheels, the Health Express Van can travel to schools, to neighborhoods and wherever there is a need for medical care or health education.
