Age has its benefits
- so why not start taking advantage of them? Seniors who are interested in staying healthy, active, and well-informed
should join Advantage Plus. Benefits will include discounts, health screenings,
educational programs, social activities, and
more. Educational programs will explore health topics, financial concerns
and many other complex issues that seniors face today.
"At Danville Regional Medical Center, we're very close to the seniors
in our community," said Laurie Pritchett, Health Referral Coordinator
for Danville Regional Health System.
"We have a lot of senior volunteers, and our senior educational program
- Living Longer, Living Well - has been very popular. Advantage Plus grew
from our desire to offer even more to the seniors in our community."
The membership drive kicks off the spring - so look for membership brochures
in the mail. A lifetime membership will cost $25 per person or $40 per
couple. This one-time fee will help defray operational costs, and the
benefits members receive for the rest of their lives far outweigh the
cost. "The membership will easily pay for itself without the first year
with the discounts and free health screenings we're offering," Pritchett
said.
"Although our main focus will be on health issues, this will be a fun
social group, too," said Pritchett. "We'll also be requesting feedback
from our new members to see what they're interested in doing."
