Volunteer Services

Consider the joy in doing something that not only gives you a feeling of accomplishment, but also makes a difference in the lives of the people around you every day.

The Volunteers of Danville Regional Medical Center and their continuous gift of time, energy and devotion carry on a loving tradition. Over 300 volunteers donate an average of 48,000 hours of time to the medical center each year.

These special individuals play a key role in the caring image of Danville Regional, performing critical services ranging from assisting in the Emergency Department to managing the surgical waiting room.

To show our volunteers how much we value their service to Danville Regional, there are several benefits which go along with the feeling of satisfaction of performing a valuable service to our patients and staff. Our volunteers are entitled to: Adult volunteers relaxing.

Also available is our very special Junior Volunteer Program. Youth at least 14 years old may participate in this program while on summer vacation, performing most jobs done by the adult volunteers. This experience helps the Junior Volunteer learn to focus on others' needs instead of their own and is an excellent way to meet other people. It also offers the opportunity to learn responsibility and opens avenues for college and job experience.
